ACQUIRE Partners with Red Dunes Games to Develop Three New IPs for Global Release
Japanese game studio ACQUIRE has announced a multi-year collaboration with UAE-based publisher Red Dunes Games to develop three original intellectual properties. The partnership marks the first major alliance between a Japanese developer and an Emirati publisher, with the games set to debut at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
ACQUIRE, known for its work on Octopath Traveler and Way of the Samurai, brings decades of Japanese gaming expertise to the table. Red Dunes Games, founded in 2022 by Sultan Darmaki and Mohamed Jneib, represents the growing Middle Eastern presence in global gaming. "We at ACQUIRE have always valued the originality of Japan," said CEO Takuma Endo, "and we're pleased to partner with Red Dunes Games for this global challenge."
The announcement signals increasing cross-border collaboration in the gaming industry, though no specific platforms or release dates were disclosed. The Tokyo Game Show reveal will provide the first look at these new properties destined for worldwide distribution.
